My 1st ski touring hike

3 days of total immersion in the heart of the Queyras region, famous for its easterly slopes and ideal topography for ski touring.
Our base camp at the guarded La Blanche hut at 2500m will be the ideal spot from which to explore the Blanchet valley.

Programme

DAY 1 :
  • Welcome at 8am in the car park of hall 2 of the Intermarché store in Guillestre
  • Preparation of bags and equipment for the refuge
  • Checking of ski touring and rescue equipment (shovel, probe, avalanche transceiver).
  • Presentation of the 3-day programme
  • Ascent in skins to the Col de Longet or the Col du Pic de Cornivier
  • Lunch (bring your own picnic for the 1st lunch)
  • Descent
  • Welcome at the guarded refuge
  • Aperitif/briefing for day 2

DAY 2 :
  • Presentation of the day's programme.
  • Tour of La Tete des Toillies
  • Lunch.
  • Descent.
  • Aperitif/briefing for day 3

DAY 3:
  • Briefing for the day.
  • Ascent in skins to the Col de Chamoussière or Pointe des Sagnes Longues.
  • Lunch
  • Descent and return to the Fontgillarde car park
  • Debriefing of the trip

RATES :
330€/person (supervision by professional, mini bus transport from meeting point, collective equipment, DVA pack if necessary)

NOTES :
This holiday is designed for people with previous ski touring experience.
The programme may be modified in the event of unfavourable weather conditions.
Full board in the refuge is not included in the price.
You will need to pay approximately €131 for the hut (2 nights + all meals except snacks on the 1st day).

Our advice for greater comfort in the refuge
Don't overload and take only the essentials
=>Mini toiletries, ultra-light towel,
earplugs, 15000mA external battery (no electricity), preferably merino underwear small first-aid kit (Smecta, Doliprane, plasters), bag of dried fruit and, above all, the essential headlamp!

To bring
  • Ski touring equipment: skis with touring bindings, skins, knives, suitable boots, ski touring poles.
  • 35-40 litre rucksack
  • 1 to 2 litres of water and provisions
  • High-index sun cream
  • Second skin blister plasters
  • Suitable ski trousers (breathable with ventilation), warm Gore Tex jacket, micro down jacket or fleece jacket, 1st technical layer (avoid cotton), 1 pair of light gloves, 1 pair of gloves or mittens, sunglasses, ski mask, hat.
